CSI Miami, Greg Swearingen, and Doug TenNapel in One Week

We had a lot of big time visitors last week: illustrator Greg Swearingen, cartoon creator Doug TenNapel, and the crew of CSI Miami. Greg Swearingen came to the History of American Illustration class to discuss his journey into becoming a pro and some of his technical processes. Doug TenNapel presented principles in storytelling and character development. Last, for more than two days, we all bumped into Horatio (David Caruso), Frank (Rex Linn), and (pretend) dead people while the CSI Miami crew filmed one of the last shows of the season. Look for a “Miami Dade U” stone marker in upcoming episodes, and you’ll know you’re seeing the Cal State Fullerton campus (yes, miles away from Miami, Florida)! What a fun campus!!
